THE CREATION In 2006, Jean-Claude Ellena composed Terre d'Hermès, an Eau de Toilette that connects man to his origins, to the source of his creative power. Terre d'Hermès recounts the relationship between man and earth, his humble and harmonious dialogue with the elements and nature. Since 2016, Hermès perfumer Christine Nagel has been exploring new paths for this fragrance. OLFACTORY NOTES Terre d'Hermès features a mineral, woody scent, combining the strength of cedar and the radiance of grapefruit with a vibrant touch of flint. THE OBJECT Seen from the ground, the bottle rests on an orange 'H', an imprint left on the earth. Seen from above, the light dances on the metal shoulders, while the liquid is held in the transparency. THE HERMÈS DETAIL Once in the hand, the Terre d'Hermès bottle reveals its many details: the house's saddle nail, the sliding cover that releases the spray, and so on. Designed by designer Philippe Mouquet, it is inspired by a bottle in a travel kit that is kept at the Emile Hermès museum.
